Landon is a veteran of the Animation Industry as a Pipeline Technical Director with a deep love of games. Over a decade of working on beloved shows and the occasional game, Landon's portfolio includes titles ranging from Fire Emblem: Fates and Miku Hatsune Project Mirai for the Nintendo DS, Spongebob: Kamp Koral, Rugrats Reboot, and Star Trek: Prodigy while at Nickelodeon. Disneys Wish & Moana 2 to name a few.
Landon got his start with the genre with the Playstation 1 copy of Harvest Moon Back to Nature and Nintendo 64 Harvest Moon 64, and fast forward to Stardew Valley and the expansive explosion of the farm life simulation genre of cozy games, Landon just loves these games through and through. With a long history playing these games, he felt it was time to MAKE his own dream title of the farming sim game.
Deep Roots is all about exactly the title name: "Deep Roots" the game is a callback to these classics to reconnect with the heart of a peaceful retreat from reality in a lifestyle many of us dream to one day be a part of. But naturally, remaking an existing title is not interesting. So Landon wanted to challenge his skillsets and bring to life a world that feels alive and dynamic. Deep Roots is not a game developed with a farm land and field first. No. Deep Roots began the same way our own existence began. with a world to inhabit and concepts like Time & Weather came first. The development of Deep Roots will take time for sure. But Landon is excited and inspired to be chasing a personal dream to make a new installment in the deep rooted heritage of the farm sim life genre.
